Julie Kim is one of Canada’s top stand-up comedians and an international headliner. Her corporate services include event hosting/emcee-ing, speaking, and comedy with boundaries if HR is in attendance.

 

Over the past decade, Julie has performed at major comedy festivals with multiple televised appearances (these include the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and more).  Julie is also a writer and producer, and Canadian Screen Award winner. Julie is the first female Asian comedian in Canada and one of the only internationally touring Canadian comedians who is a parent.

Julie holds degrees in health sciences and engineering and is many former things (doctoral student, lecturer/ professor, management and technology consultant, and the rest is a blur).

 

She draws on both her comedy and past corporate career to speak on grit and perseverance, life and career transformation, and empowerment as a female and a woman of colour.

Julie's mission is to spread happiness, lighten hearts, and unite through laughter. No amount of mom shaming will stop her in this quest.
